Monkey Boxing is an arcade game from Crescent Moon Games where you will control a monkey and fight your way through the boxing league. This title presents a unique take on your typical boxing games thanks to its hilarious game mechanics and unique in-app accessories and clothing.
You’ll find that the gameplay of Monkey Boxing is quite similar to that of Real Boxing. Your character — or in this case, monkey — will have certain abilities that you need to raise by winning your matches. These abilities include endurance, strength, and speed.
Amusing gameplay fit for all ages
Monkey Boxing makes use of visually-appealing 3D graphics with goofy physics that players from all age groups can appreciate. Once you start a new match, you can customize your fighter’s appearance by changing the color of his gloves and shorts. You can even add props while you’re at it. For a more entertaining look, you also have the ability to randomize their appearance with hundreds of wacky combinations.
There are 50 initial levels you need to go through before you can play an unlimited number of matches afterward. You’ll find that the controls are quite easy to grasp, even for new players. It even allows you to play in two-player mode so you can go up against your friends on the same device or by connecting through Wi-Fi.
However, there are some issues with the app crashing at unexpected moments. This often happens in the middle of a fight, so it becomes frustrating when you’ve been trying to make it past a certain level for ages. Since there are no mini-games or side tasks you can do aside from battling other monkeys, the game also gets pretty repetitive over time.
Still worth it
Monkey Boxing does have its downsides when it comes to bugs that cause the program to crash and its repetitive gameplay but it still provides a good balance of features that you can surely enjoy. Thanks to the comedic themes and 3D visuals, it offers a great amount of amusement that sets it apart from many other games within the genre.
